A shocking 1/3 of all the food that is produced for human consumption, is wasted! This means that the energy and water used to product the food is also wasted. A lot of this waste ends up in landfill, where it rots and releases methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. 

But food can often still be used in clever ways which reduces energy, water, waste and cost.
